This is a technique class to learn the concepts of Seminole strip piecing. Students will make 4-5 different Seminole designs in class. The Seminole designs look best with solids or fabrics that read as solids such as tone-on-tones or small prints. A striped fabric can be fun too, but large prints distract from the Seminole designs. The key to a successful Seminole band is contrast among the fabrics in the band. Students will receive instructions for 10 different Seminole designs plus a few variations. By the end of the class, students will have learned all the skills needed to piece all the designs.
