The daughter of a Sears sewing machine salesman, Shelley Sieverkropp has been running a sewing machine since she could run a treadle with a Spokane phone book on the foot pedal. She spent a couple of years in Pacific Trails jacket factory, then 35 years of computer programming and bookkeeper, much of that time spent teaching others to use various software, she’s combining her love of quilting with teaching others the tricks that increase productivity and quality in the final product. She’s known for being able to take quilts that need a little extra love and turning them into treasures.
Shelley is married to a farmer/rancher in central Washington and is mom to four, grandma to 4 with 2 more to join before the show. Living in central WA, away from the easy choices of shopping in town, has led to the McGuyvering of solutions to get the job done. Time management is critical since she never knows when she’ll be called to run for parts, chase cattle, or jump into a tractor or truck for harvest.
