“Ain’t Technology Grand?” This program looks at the incredibly powerful quilt designing software, EQ8 by the Electric Quilt Co. The lecture explores the many things this software program can do, and the ways it can assist quilters (with minimal computer experience) to design quilts, quilt blocks, explore fabric and setting ideas, and create instructions for making original quilt designs.

“Sacred Geometry – From Fibonacci to Fiber Art” looks at ways in which sacred geometric design principles find application in the quilting world. Includes a trunk show and power point lecture illustrating sacred geometric principles and their application in quilt design.

All about scraps! Learn: how to combine hard-to-place fabrics into successful scrap quilts; color theory for picking fabrics for scrap quilts; how to use odd shaped scraps as well, and several different stack and cut techniques for these pieces.

Annual Quilt Show

Each year, WSQ’s annual three-day quilt show highlights the work of several hundred local and regional quilters. The quilts include traditional, modern and art quilts.
