This class is about making sweet, simple, and fun journal covers using wool appliqué and embroidery stitches. They are fun to make, great to personalize, and give as gifts. They are made using 5×7 journals. However, you can use any size with a few adjustments discussed in the pattern.

Supply List:

• 1 blue tracing pen (water soluble)
• embroidery hoop (if you prefer)
• variety of embroidery needles
• milliner’s size 1 needle (will use for the wrapped stitches)
• your favorite threads
• scraps of batting
• embroidery scissors
• pin cushion
• For tracing you’ll need a small light box
• Charisma will have wool glue sticks for everyone to share

You can purchase Penny Notes 2.0 kit from Charisma’s website. The kit includes Penny Notes 2.0 pattern, 1 Essex linen FQ, 15 wool pennies in various sizes & colors, and a 5×7 journal. Also bring the above supply list items.

If you prefer to bring your own fabrics & wool: You will need Penny Notes 2.0 pattern, 1 FQ linen fabric, your favorite wool scraps, thread to match in addition to the above supplies.
