Knowing that I love these birds, my dad, at the age of 99, carved a wooden quail for me. When I saw this quilt pattern, I knew I had to make a wall hanging to accompany the carving! (I made this a little smaller than the dimensions on the pattern.)

This rainbow colored scrappy quilt was the product of an online Winter Quilt-along sponsored by Mitzie Schafer of Jittery Wings. Playing with all those wonderful fabrics helped me keep the "Winter Blues" away.

INMOD 2024 Kona Color of the Year Challenge. Our required color "mint julep" is not a favorite, but I enjoyed changing up my color palette and adding a beautiful "mud color" negative space for fabric background.

WSQ Quilt Challenge – used the black & white fabrics from my stash as I have a personal challenge not to buy any fabric!

Sadly, our beloved English springer spaniel died and I wanted to remember him with a quilt. This was a challenge for my Arizona guild – black & white plus no more that 10% of one additional color. Collage + Trapunto.

I took a class in Laura Heine technique, designed my own pattern. Background is my hand-dyed fabric. Walking foot quilting.

My first ever block swap. My block for the swap was the microscope, and I added a few extras to get the size and look with the globe and flowers – both things I appreciate in the world.

I made this foundation paper pieced pattern and incorporated it into a calendar holder for my eldest son's Birthday. It was a challenge but well worth the effort.

An adjustable Jelly Roll Race quilt done for my youngest grandson, Dekker, and his Big Boy bed.
