This quilt has been on several quilt retreats before being completed. I paislied the background wool and then did the appliqued pieces over the top. I then did the rest of the quilt as a flippy…adding the borders.

I picked up these squares in Hawaii. Came home and found I had a set of Tonga Batiks that matched perfectly! I love using ALL the colors of the rainbow.
Found a 30’s reproduction fat quarter bundle and looked for a quilt pattern that would compliment the style. When I saw the pinwheel type of design knew it would be perfect. Loved the fun scrappy way it turned out.
For Shekenah's bridal shower, made placemats out of the dresdan template. The leftovers made it to an applique project on orange, her favorite color. Used ideas from an applique quilt book to quilt the designs and coloring pages.

My table looked like a blow out while pouring thru books, ideas, fabrics. Jinny Beyer Fabrics were the perfect choice. Had so many shades of colors that worked well and that border fabric!

I love how this turned out!! It is all done on the machine using a couple of different prepared edge techniques. It’s a combination of two different patterns. The quilting is a combination of hand-guided free-motion and ruler work.
