I started this darling embroidery many years ago and completed it this winter while recovering from pneumonia. It has all the things I love, embroidery, EPP and fun borders. It's hard for me to pick my favorite block but the skates would be #1.

This was the 2023 block of the month by Sue Spargo. I love all wool applique and embellishing stitches but I'll admit that some of the blocks had a lot of repetitive tedious stitches that I loved once the block was complete.

This quilt incorporates all the things I love; needle turn applique, EPP and fun blocks. I added embroidery and prairie points for fun. Every applique and EPP block was such a joy to make. I love the quilting process to enhance my applique blocks.

Hand stitched by Elizabeth Huston in the late 1930’s and passed down 7 generations before quilted by Susie Larson in 2026. 1930’s reprint for backing, SoFine thread, computer assist and ruler work was used with Quilter's Dream Puff batting.

I saw this painting on Facebook by a gentleman named Jim Musil and he has given me permission to use it for a landscape quilt. It seemed so peaceful to me, and I love his technique.

I bought this quilt kit at the Cotton Patch in Lafayette, CA, last summer. I am so happy to finish a quilt so soon!

The fabric colors remind me of strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla ice cream with carmel.

Made with random pairings of 2.5" light and dark strips and sub cut into 1.5" strips, this was a really simple to make. Laying it all out so that the colors were dispersed was another matter! I love the end result and looking at it makes me joyful.

Eddie Walker of Walla Walla was featured on MSQC Triple Play last fall with this version of the Double Wedding Ring, which MSQC printed and created a ruler set for. I just had to make my own patriotic version to celebrate America's 250th birthday.

I wanted to make a quilt to honor America's 250th birthday and I wanted to depict the words of the song, "America, the Beautiful" with fabric. I changed a few things and added in some of my own from the original pattern. Happy birthday, USA!
