I fell in love with this fabric and then found the pattern. I wanted to make something with the iridescence of Japanese beetles. I quilted it with computer aided custom placed designs. I had to design the motif for the head and eyes myself.

Created while I was a artist in residence on Vashon Island, WA., I gave myself a few parameters: the color choice, to study line and discover the shapes that came out of that exploration with the question could line be dynamic? Designed on the wall.

I love the bright and bold fabric used in this quilt! Foundation paper pieced and a bit time consuming but also very satisfying. Both the pattern and fabric are designed by Sassafras Lane Designs.

I love Jen Kingwell's designs! They look somewhat simple but are more complex when you look deeper. Point Addis is Foundation Paper Pieced using Tim Holtz fabrics.

This quilt is made up of 6912 pieces and Bucky has about the same number of personalities. He's also known as Buck E Barksalot, Buckaroo, Buckydoo, Buckster, Bucky Boy, Buck-O, and Mr. B. This quilt tested my patience at times also like the dog.

This was in the works for many years because I only worked on the half-square triangles at retreats. I love the blue and white. This is one of my favorite quilts

This kind of looked to me like a box of those foil-wrapped hazlenut candies that I love. I should have made note of the designer's name. It's a very cool setting and was great fun to make. And I love the uniqueness of Carla's all-over quilting.

With 3 senior setters we adopted a golden retriever puppy. She thinks she is a setter!

I was so fortunate to be chosen to assist Pam Mostek when she was Featured Quilter here a few years ago and the nice memory has stayed with me. I wanted to make one of her designs and I picked this very easy pattern. Used up lots of greens!

I've recently become totally enchanted by grey quilts. After completing the last one–it's in the show, too–I didn't even bother to put the fabric away. I just immediately started making this one.
