Excerpt From the Spokesman Review, April 2022

Judy Elizabeth Kauffman, 82, of Spokane, WA passed away on March 12, 2022. She was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1939 and moved to Spokane with her family as a teenager.

She was a talented teacher, an amateur archeologist, an expert seamstress, and a mother of three. She was very active in the local sewing and quilting community and taught sewing classes and seminars.

She also loved musical theater. While her children were at Ferris High School, she performed with Ham on Regal and regularly attended Broadway shows, singing along even when she didn’t know all the lyrics.

Judy was a fun mom and neighbor, always had a good story to tell, and kept in touch with friends and relatives throughout her life. She loved cats and always kept a good bottle of wine hidden somewhere in the house.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years (C. Gordon), her son (Chris), her twin daughters (Jodi and Stacy), four grandchildren, and her sisters (Jaymi and Jill).

Unserer lieben Mutter wünschen wir Adieu.

No memorial service is planned. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to SpokAnimal.org.
