She had a giving heart; she donated many quilts to children in need. Her warm smile, kind heart, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Kris Anderson, beloved wife of Mike Anderson, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, at the age of 72. She was a devoted wife of 51 years; cherished mother to Beth Spencer (husband, Jim Lazarus) and Lisa Wideman; proud grandmother to Bria, Zack, Noah, Robbie, and Sully; and a loving sister to Doug (wife, Colleen) Hanenburg.

Kris was born on July 2, 1951, to Art and Betty Hanenburg of Spokane, WA. She graduated from Shadle Park H.S. in 1969. Kris and Mike were married in 1972 and spent many of their early years moving around the US with the military. They settled in Spokane where they had a family and Kris became the best mom ever. Kris earned her master’s degree from Eastern Washington University in the late ’80s. She had a fulfilling career as a Librarian at Regal Elementary School, sharing her love of reading with her students. Kris retired in 2013, and she and Mike spent their retirement years traveling to every state in the US, seeing the sights with friends and family.
