Lecture: How shopping for curtain fabrics became my 25-plus year applique and quilting journey
About Cheryl:
Cheryl started quilting in 1998 when she wandered into the Quilting Bee to buy fabric to make kitchen café curtains and saw a fusible applique block of the month. She had never made a quilt block and never appliqued but her love of applique was firmly cemented after that class.
She has been a member of Washington State Quilters since approximately 1999. Her passion is needle turn applique, wool applique and art quilts.
Cheryl also loves wool applique and adding embellishment stitches to all her wool projects, even primitive wool applique.
After paying to have her first quilts quilted, she took a few classes on machine quilting on a domestic machine and now machine quilts all her projects so she can create detailed and intricate quilting designs with thread that enhances her applique and embellishments. She currently quilts on a Bernina Q20 which is non-moveable (she moves the quilt not the machine).
