In this workshop, we will focus on basic skills in the morning and work on block and quilt specifics in the afternoon.

Class 1 will focus on these basic skills:

Morning Session:

• Learning to navigate the software by understanding the logic behind it.
• Identifying the things that EQ8 can and cannot do.
• Creating Project files, and saving your work.
• Exploring the EQ8 block and fabric libraries.
• Using the sketchbook to store blocks and fabrics you wish to use in your designs.
• Using the Block Worktable to draw and edit blocks using Easy Draw Tools.

Afternoon Session:

• Printing and Exporting your designs.
• Quick Review and Q&A from Morning.
• Using the Quilt Worktable to design quilts.
• Editing quilt layouts to create the size and shape of your quilt.
• Adding and editing borders.
• Setting blocks in the quilt layouts using shortcut tools.
• Coloring your quilt with colors and fabrics.
