I pieced the quilt blocks 10 years ago and finally finished them this year as a UFO project. I made them while my husband was in rehab for double knee replacements–it kept me company in an empty house. The crazy quilts are a fun challenge.

We feed up to 300 quail through the winter. They are our entertainment and joy. How great it will be to have the quail on the bed, or the wall. How can we not smile when we see them.
I love Crazy Quilts. I made these block 10 years ago when my husband was in rehab for double knee replacement. I finished it this year and will use it for a Thanksgiving table cloth. The machine embroidery border really accents the quilt.
The colors on the fabric are so vibrant and clear, I wanted it for the center of our table. I made 16 placemats to go with this from coordinating fabric.
I made Practical Joy while I recovered from two surgeries, a hip replacement and a knee replacement in the same year! I thought it would be the perfect project to keep me busy, and it did. Now that it is done, I can say that it brings me joy!
