I am nine years old and this is my first full sized quilt. It is a disappearing nine patch. My grandma and I sewed together after school. I used two charm packs to make the design. I became confident using a sewing machine.

Quilt name was chosen to celebrate the birth of my first grandchild, who was conceived around Valentine's Day 2024.

This is a "true" slow stitch project. The embroidery was completed at my weekly quilt group, and most evenings. It took approximately 15 months to complete the handwork. The quilt was freehand quilted on an APQS long-arm machine.
For this challenge I had 2 ideas come into my mind. Swirling pinwheels, tossed by the wind, or some combination of a basic kaleidoscope block with a pinwheel block. Only time will tell which idea will come to fruition, but you now see the one here!

I first made this foundation paper pieced little quilt for a friend's 60th birthday. I really liked how it turned out. So, I made another one, just for me! The colored fabrics are from a line called Apple Butter by Carol Endres, I bought years ago.
This charming quilt combines all the things I love, needle turn applique, embroidery, English paper piecing and some easy piecing. Of course I had to put my twist on it by adding embroidery and specialty stitches. This was a joy to make!
Flora was the 2022 Sue Spargo BOM. I love wool applique and particularly love Sue Spargo projects because of the challenging embroidery stitches and embellishments. There are lots of specialty stitches and this deserves a close look.
This is a bed runner, bed scarf or wall hanging. The INMQ Challenge is to take the applique block and make something. It will have a story board relating the process from choosing which block-oranges or blues to the end product.
