That creative magic is what sparked Quilts in Color, an engaging, interactive lecture all about bringing your quilts to life through intentional color choices.
In this session, we’ll dive into five accessible, eye-opening strategies for playing with color—whether you’re working from a pattern or designing your own. You’ll walk away inspired and empowered, ready to look at every quilt pattern through a fresh lens and make it unmistakably you.
Participants will:
- Explore five different methods of creating color palettes
- Receive a free downloadable packet of quilt designs featured in the lecture, perfect for practicing the color strategies we explore together and continuing the fun at home!
- Use those methods to color quilt designs and discover what inspires their personal style
About Jennifer:
Jen Wagner is a quilt pattern designer and instructor from Las Vegas, NV, with a background as a women’s health nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife. After decades of helping women make informed health decisions, she now has the joy of helping quilters create quilts they love. Her patterns blend modern and traditional techniques while embracing bold design and vibrant color. Teaching quilters the techniques she uses in her patterns – curved piecing, foundation paper piecing, and reverse appliqué – has been incredibly rewarding. She loves seeing the moment when everything clicks and they fall in love with the process. At Snapdragon Quilting, she not only designs quilt patterns but also curates gorgeous quilt kits and stocks all her favorite notions to make the quilting process smoother and more enjoyable. This year, she’s honored to be a Benartex Ambassador and has loved working with their team and beautiful fabrics—it’s been such an exciting adventure!
