A fun quilt involving piecing of the large circles, and appliquéing each of the large and small circles to the background.

This is the most enjoyable quilt I have made lately. The insects just make you smile. It was a joy to make using a wide variety of embroidery stitches. The quilting is freehand on a long-arm using wool and 80/20 batting.
Making 6"blocks, so many different designs was so fun. We included a 1.5" square from each of the group's members. We have a piece of each other's quilt in ours. Made the quilt extra special.

This quilt was made from all my extra scraps of material from other quilts. Was fun to make. Had no clue what the end result was going to be. Turned out beautiful.

Tried to use the colors the pattern called for except the heart. Pattern called for pink but I told them my heart is red. Made the heart red.

Making 6" blocks, so many different designs was so fun. Adding I had everyone share 16 – 1.5 squares with everyone else to use in the quilts made it possible for everyone to take a little bit of everyone in the group with them.

This was a fun stash buster for my mystery group. Best of all no one figured out the design even with all the blocks made before the final layout was given. They all turned out great, but this is one of my all time faves!

My friends have done One Block Wonder quilts that inspired me to try it with a lovely, colorful & fun dragonfly panel. I love the results! Dragonflys are supposed to symbolize good luck, transformation & prosperity. I hope this one does.
15yrs ago I did my 1st mystery quilt & vowed I would never do another one! Not seeing the pattern & trying to pick out fabrics threw me over the cliff. A good friend said I would regret not doing this one. One rule-had to use b&w stripe. Love it.
